We have been thinking a lot about all of our black friends over the past few days since the George Floyd verdict was announced. All of us a CMI and 5RM have set our hearts on creating programs that increase compassion and decrease racism, bias and so many other challenges we collectively face.

It is our deepest desire to bring our best selves forward at this time and build on this moment. We each have gifts to bring in addressing racism and bias. We think of the comment by the prosecution that: “George Floyd’s death wasn’t because his heart was too big, it was that Chauvin’s heart was too small.” May we each take time for conscious reflection and intentional action toward continued progress in this most important need.
