This handout has two graphics representing aspects of recovery from major events. Content explaining the diagrams is included. It is helpful to know ahead of time that recovery from trauma is complicated, uneven and unwieldy. Often, administrators want to press toward “back to normal” and it is helpful to recognize that – for some people – it will be a new normal, which takes time to acquire.
