Students to pair up today.
Another kind of helper is someone we can recognize because of what they wear or where they work. Uniforms are a tip-off that someone might be a helper.
An example of that could be if a doctor wears a white coat or a nurse has a stethoscope around their neck. A crossing guard at a school often wears a vest.
If you’re the first partner, think of two to three kinds of helpers that we recognize because of what they wear or where they work. If you’re the second partner, see if you can add new examples.
How many of you came up with at least five kinds of helpers you could recognize because of their work clothes or the place they work?
Let’s hear a few of those.
Today notice that some helpers here at school wear something that lets us know they are helpers and others don’t. Take notice of them during your day!
Who saw helpers wearing something that let you know how they might be a helper?
How many of you saw lots of helpers who were just in regular clothes?
