MSHS: Week 6, Day 4 PREVIEW

Prompt

How would you define “point of view”?  How is it different than bias?

Connecting

Point of view means thinking about something from a particular frame of reference.

I’m going to share an image, then we can talk about how different people would view it..

How would these people view it:
• Historian
• Tour Company
  • Engineer
• Seismologist (earthquake scientist)
• Adventurer

Each person views this differently — this is perspective and we all have one.  It’s based on our life experience and knowledge.

Daily Challenge

Continue to think about perspective today and how it’s different than bias.

High Five Finale

Does understanding that sometimes our differences are simply a matter of differing perspective and not bias help us listen more to one another?
